Productive day in KYIV: US VISA, new boss, appartment to live in

Well, yesterday was a very LONG but one of the most productive days in my life for past couple of months. May be I should rather say the day when many things, that have been happening on the background (preparations, thoughts, prayers) just fell into place and I have seen the physical results of those. To summarize all that 18 hours long day I have got my VISA to US, received approval for my Christmas/New Year vacation from my new boss (which means we can come to Passion 2012 and spend Christmas with our friends in US!!:-) and, I think, I have found an apartment to live in when we move to Kyiv. So, now so many questions that we had in our heads cleared up and we can continue on with our move to Kyiv and plans for next 4-6 months of our life.

I have got my US VISA , received approval for Christmas/New Year vacation and found good apartment to live in.

Funny story from that morning... I came to US consulate around 7:45 (as was written at the web site) and there was already a huge line there. Maybe around  25-30 people in front of me to get their visas! I was last in that line... ok, I thought to myself I will wait. How surprised I was when one of the guards asked "Is Mr. Shekhovtsov here?"... I said "Yes, its me". "Please follow me and stand here" - he said to me pointing at the place near the entrance. That way I turned out to be first in the line to get visa. Later I've found out that my uncle works as a head of guards at this Consulate (he used to work at the Embassy) and he saw my name on the list. I felt m self like the words "But many who are first, will be last, and many who are last will be first!" {Matthew 20:16} - yesterday's visit to the Consulate was a true answer to many prayers!! So thanks everyone who's prayed!

Also, I had a chance to go to the office of Bravo Avia Ukraine, where I will be working soon and met m future team (which is at the moment only 5 people). My new boss Teodoro (he is Italian) said he wouldn't mind if I take a  2 week vacation at the end of the year. It was very gracious of him, cause I will start my work only on Nov. 21st. I think I should post another separate post on my new company, but that will be a bit later.

So and last, but not the least, I was running around Kyiv looking at the appartments for rent and it was quite exhausting. Apartment prices went up for the past couple of years so it was hard to choose. However, just when I though there's nothing worth considering (after I've looked at 3 apartments) in late evening I went to meet with this lady named Tatyana the owner). She was very nice and the apartment she rents out is REALLY BIG. It is right near the metro station and is on the 14th floor of a brand new apartment building... We plan to come and see it together with Katya next Saturday, and if she likes it - we will sign a contract.

All in all, very briefly, this is a summary of my day yesterday. Really wanted to share this, because I know that in days like these lots of questions are answered and we are encouraged once again how good the Almighty is, Who knows our thoughts and needs, guards our steps and ALWAYS, ALWAYS answers prayers... For me yesterday was a back to back answers to prayers and I felt the power of all those intersessions brought up before the Throne by many of you. For which, me and Katya are very grateful.
